Gisele receives another rave review, this time from Progression Magazine, with "Nature Love" being tipped as her next single:
"Australia-based vocalist/violinist Gisele Scales has been gaining quite a bit of attention for her recordings, which combine dance music beats with violin and even “green” themes. Unusual to be sure, as are the vocals sung/spoken in English, French, Italian and German. If this all sounds quite creative and European more than Australian, you’re right.
The clever synth programming and never-let-up house beats practically drag you forcibly to your feet and demand you boogie your ass off………………….
Scales’ breathy vocals are well suited for this material and her violin technique is excellent.
Scales is a founding member of the Canberra Youth Orchestra, so she obviously has a strong musical background. Out of a total of nearly 15,000 entries worldwide, Gisele Scales song "Special" made it into the quarter finals of the US based 2006 International Songwriting Competition.
Gisele is billed as one of "the hottest unsigned dance artists from all over the globe" with the inclusion of her tracks "Versuch es" on the Tunetank MMC10 Dance 2006 CD, "Cafe" on the AIR Annual Vol.8 Electronica/Hip Hop compilation, and now "Live it Up" on the NMS '07 Festival compilation, and on the Bandit/Gotham Records 2007 sampler.
Gisèle Scales “2 Think” CD is an inspirational journey. Of driving beats, irresistible electric violin breaks, and uplifting vocals in English, French, Italian and German. This is a journey that will have you reaching for the play button, over and over again.
Having had success with the European No.1 funk single “Mother Egypt” by Vega, as well as a string of album credits with the likes of Midnight Oil, Eurogliders and Jeannie Lewis, Gisèle now unleashes her solo dance CD on an unsuspecting public.
