Biography
Hailing from the rolling hills of Martinsville, Indiana, Retro Young brings you the great sounds of good old classic rock & roll! Formed in April of 2004, Retro Young is determined to bring back the classic rock sound into mainstream music. Greg Dow provides soaring lead guitar riffs mixing his love for blues and rock to create a unique style of playing. Ryan Bunnell expresses his emotions through his amazing lead guitar with influences from Tom Morello, Jimi Hendrix, and Neil Young. Jonny Bunnell is the time-keeper, leaving you breathless with his amazing rhythm and soul on the drum set. David Lee plays his rolling bass guitar like he's been doing it for years to give you that great classic rock feel. Leading the way is the front man, Matt Somers, with his wailing, yet melodic vocals.
Retro Young is young in age, but mature in musicianship and talent. They have the ability to stand out by there different sound, yet sticking to the roots of the late '60's and '70's rock and roll. They have developed a huge fan base by intriguing everyone who sees them play. NO ONE has left a Retro Young show disappointed and no one ever will!
