Artist Information
Biography
Crystalline vocals, delicate acoustic guitar, and warm solo cello combine to create a hauntingly beautiful and unique music. The arrangements sparse, the mood melancholy and bittersweet, listeners are captivated by the airy vocal harmonies, and praise the music's balance of simplicity and emotional sincerity.
Creeping Lovely's sound is truely unique, but comparisons to Jewel, Mazzy Star, Sarah McLachlan, and even Nickel Creek have found their way into listener reviews.
Formed in San Francisco in 2004, Creeping Lovely began as a musical collaboration between Robb Mills (guitar) and Miriam Barry (vocals). Robb's collection of jazz and classical influenced guitar compositions and Miriam's beautifully crafted vocal melodies blended perfectly to create the music of Creeping Lovely. With the addition of cellist Shana Kirsch, Creeping Lovely's sound became warmer, richer, and even more dynamic.
Creeping Lovely released their self-produced EP in 2005. Their song "I'm Not Ready" is currently ranked #1 on GarageBand.com. The band is featured on several Clear Channel radio websites, and they are 2006 Disc Makers International Music World Series semi-finalists.
