Biography

East Village Anglophile DYLAN NIRVANA & THE BAD FLOWERS must have some secret record collection. According to Country Music Awards Sound Engineer & Producer Steve Special, Dylan Nirvana is a "Harder early Bowie". Put it in the Britpop Glam Punk section if you like. Dylan's high vocals and layered guitar form the basis of the sound. The result is original and informed at the same time. With (Television's) Billy Ficca on drums and Robby Baxter on bass and Moog, this has proven to be an explosive combination.

Dylan Nirvana performed London’s B-Max Music Festival. Then, Billy Ficca from the legendary bands TELEVISION and THE WAITRESSES joined the band to play drums, adding a whole new element to the sound. Dylan Nirvana & The Bad Flowers performed M.E.A.N.Y. Fest (Musicians and Emerging Artists New York) getting 30 new adds on college radio.

Dylan Nirvana's debut CD on Icarian Records, ANNE BOLEYN, "Sounds like Physical Graffiti", according to Brunswick Records. 11 songs about love and destruction in flight to Reason, Dylan says, "Anne is borne up on a tide greater than her personal ambition and ends an age of darkness." But its less about English history and more about personal experience. Listen to the songs Automatic, KT-88 and you will see a racy story unfold. The next song, Ganymede, in production for a music video with Engel Films and FatKing Productions, shows Anne trying to outrun her fate. By the end, well you know what happens.
