Annette Conlon is the creator of NetteRadio, one of the longest running internet radio shows dedicated to promoting unsigned/Independent Women in Music. She is passionate about giving and has dedicated countless hours to producing and organizing showcase benefits for a variety of charities such as: Rock N Roll Camp for Girls, MusiCares, The Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research, IndieMusicForLife, Caring Bridge, UNOS United Network of Organ Sharing, The Harvest Home, Toys for Tots, 411Org GINA FOUNDation for the Missing, The American Red Cross, The LA Mission, SEROvie (in Haiti), Operation Kindness, LA - Kitten Rescue's Casita Hotel for Cats, Animal Acres, and others, as well as creating her own annual book drive for the VA Hospital called “Nette for Vets”. The 11.11.11 Nette for Vets book drive collected enough books and donations to donate 110 mostly hardbound books (and a few audio books/magazines) to the VA Hospital in West LA! Annette was awarded a plaque of appreciation from the American Red Cross in gratitude for her fundraising efforts for Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Relief in March 2011.

Annette’s residency at The Talking Stick in Venice, CA, allows her to focus on creating positive events that the community responds to in ways that can benefit a variety of causes while highlighting the talent of the NetteRadio artists she has grown to love. In 2010 she founded “Affect the Effect” which is the umbrella for these events. Annette hopes to make “Affect the Effect” an official 510.3.c non profit in 2012.

Annette currently performs with her husband Doug in the psych-alt-Americana duo ‘The Conlons’ and they plan to release their first EP in 2012. Their single “Spinning Forward” is available on the Talking Stick Compilation CD II.

An accomplished vocalist Annette performed with Dallas rock band Eden Automatic for 10 years touring the South West and playing festivals clubs, parties and countless colleges as well as opening for prominent acts such as The B-52s, Pretenders, Missing Persons, and Duran Duran, among others. Eden Automatic’s success included the release of 4 albums, song placement on countless compilation CDs, college/internet radio play, and song placement in both independent and major films.

“Merry Xmas From Hell” (recorded by Eden Automatic in 2006) is featured in the closing credits of the Highland Myst Cinema Group/New Line Films Dec 2009 release Fall Down Dead (Released to DVD in 2010). The film also includes the cover of “Three Ships” as performed by Eden Automatic.
