The Red Rogue

Genre: Rock
Secondary Genre: Folk Staten Island, New York USA Contact

The Red Rogue plays a high-energy, barnstormer of a set, moving the crowd to their feet, and gettin' 'em clappin' and singin' along to their ironic, well-rendered lyrics, and their thoughtful, yet natural melodies.

Artist Information

Biography

The Red Rogue formed suddenly one night at college before an open mike. Friends of songwriter Tim Cushing grabbed their instruments and were transformed from fans into band-members. They were instantly well-received and encouraged, and after that night began playing upwards of 4 times a week at other open mikes, where they were immediately unmistakable to the captivated audience. After a month of steady playing, they had added about 15 originals to their repertoire and went into the studio to record a 5 song EP. They most recently landed a gig at the Pussycat Lounge, where their refreshing sound was a welcome change from the slew of cookie-cutter indie, dance-rock bands that played before them. They will be playing there again on April 17th at 10:00 p.m.
