Biography
Tommy Thunderfoot was born to play music. After a brief fantasy of being a drummer, Tommy picked up his father's worn out Kay acoustic and started to copy everything on the radio. In the beginning ,the guitar was a way to attract girls but soon became an obsession .After the initial blues bug bite in 1986,this new musical style began to creep into everything he played.in 1998,on stage in downtown Charleston at momma's blues Palace,in a breakdown of a rockin' little blues number,Tommy couldn't control the stomping of his foot to keep time and the nickname has stuck with him since, seeing him play and stomp around on the stage ,the tranisition was inevitable.
Jo Jo Wall is Tommy's musical brother, they have shared the stage more for years.JoJo is always solid, always a pro, always an act of his own,by all rights.
With Jonathan Williams on drums, nothing is impossible.Jonathan is the heart, soul, spirit, and driving force behind the Accelerators and you don't want to miss his performance any time you can catch him.
The band's influences include but are not limited to:Freddie,Albert,and B.B.(3 Kings),Robert Johnson,T-Bone Walker,Lead Belly,Lightnin' Hopkins,Albert Collins,Eric Clapton,Warren Haynes,Kenny Burrell,John Mayer,Carlos Santana,Keb Mo',John Lee Hooker,Willie Dixon,etc...
