Reese welcomed to both the artist and writer divisions
(Nashville, TN – September 8, 2011) Rose Drake, President and CEO of Creative and Dreams Music Network, is proud to announce the signing of blues based, soulful roots rock artist Patty Reese to an exclusive publishing and recording contract.

Reese says about the hard work Drake and the Creative and Dreams Music Network staff has already given her self-released, Strong Medicine album, "Thanks to the vast experience, credibility, and hard work of Rose Drake and the staff of Creative and Dreams Music Network my career has rapidly moved up to the next level. My release, "Strong Medicine," has already risen to #1 on the Rock APD single and album charts and is receiving national and international airplay.”

Reese is scheduled to begin recording her debut project in January, 2012 for Creative and Dreams Music Network in Nashville with producer Paul Buono.

Of the upcoming recording experience, Reese states, “I am excited to be traveling to Nashville, Tennessee to record my first Creative and Dreams release in January. It feels so good to know I am surrounded by such knowledgeable, successful professionals - who are also incredibly friendly, down to earth folks and keenly interested in my personal success. On Tap “Strong Medicine” CD Review
The term “blues-rock” is too often a synonym for loud, bombastic tunes played by musicians who think they are the second coming of Stevie Ray Vaughan or Janis Joplin. Washington-based Patty Reese is a blues rocker, but she is definitely an exception to the tired stereotype. The six-time Washington Area Music Award winner’s new record, “Strong Medicine,” showcases a mature, supremely talented artist who has the pipes to belt songs out in full-on Janis Joplin-esque style, and the good sense not to do it on every track. On the record’s title track, Reese’s smoky, sensuous vocals wrap themselves around a slow groove, while “Who’s Got Your Back” is a rocking jam with hints of surf-style guitar. Reese is not only a powerhouse vocalist, but a strong songwriter who uses words as well as vocal acrobatics to convey timeless stories of love and lust, triumph and heartbreak. There are very few weak points on this disc. If we had to cite one it might be that Reese’s vocal stylings are sometimes too reminiscent of her heroes (think Bonnie Raitt or Melissa Etheridge,) but that’s not exactly criticism, is it? “Strong Medicine” is bound to make any fan of real blues-rock feel better about the state of the genre. —MC

Ms. R’s summation of the finale with her vocal and acoustic notes is, quite simply, timeless. Captured timelessly, as well, is the vast majority of this album, with exemplary ensemble work by the entire production and mastering team, including Ms. R, some of the guest artists, Marco Delmar, and Bill Wolf. Those previous three consecutive songs make the strongest grouping of local or regional tunes I’ve ever heard, demonstrating the purity and variety of Ms. R’s many gifts. Patty performs anywhere from 2 hours straight, to short, 40 minute showcase sets up to a 4 hour night, usually 3 - 45 to one hour sets which include original's and unique arrangements of classics by artists like Otis Redding, Bob Marley, Etta James, The Band, Janis Joplin and others
