Biography
Combining "sophisticated funk with a rather jazzy punk,” slamming solos of rock, vocals to swoon, and the endurance of kicking jam bands, Nu Funk Mafia has all the elements of a truly larger being.
Nick G is the “Don” of this family. Writing music since birth, it seemed as if his life was pre-destined for greatness. While studying at the McNally School of Music (fka MusicTech), he met Brian, the ruthless bass slinger from the back burbs of Kansas. From there the family grew to include "M", the bringer of funk. Now the family was ready to stake claim to a new brand of genre-bending, danceable fun.
Nu Funk Mafia’s live show is genuine, energetic, flirtatious, creative and above all, amazing. The soul of their craft is exactly what music today has been waiting for. So if you’re ready, welcome to the family. If not, you’d better get out of the Mafia's way because you won't be able to stop them.
