Biography
I come from west Cornwall in the UK. I moved to London in 1967 to go to University and shortly after discovered The Marquee club in Wardour Street. This is where the blues came into my life. I have spent the last 40 years learning how to play the Blues (and other styles, naturally) with various different bands but came across my current compadres in the last couple of years. My personal main influence on the violin has always been the late and very great Don "Sugarcane" Harris who I first heard on Frank Zappa's Hot Rats" album. Hence my name of Sugarbeet as we ain't got no sugarcane over here, man.
