Hear Eddie Durhma's Son playing guitar with the Walter Blanding Jr.and Walters arrangment. Check CT On In Walked Bud at the age of 87! Using his technique of fugal and trumpet for a bit and then blowin' a strong solo. Wycliffe Gordon has a plunger technique that NOBODY can touch. Whitney claims she was inspired by Skains swampy Nawlins' steppin at his 40th Birthday for the song; Loose Duck which Wynton wrote the music and Whitney wrote the lyrics.
WHITNEY MARCHELLE IS FROM IOWA . Her father and mother were both musicians. She traveled on the road with her borther and sister in Canada. She toured with her sister for over 10years. Left the group and went to Los Angeles where she worked alot in the recording studios with her 4 octave range and the ability to sight read and sing at least 4 harmony parts. Whitney states how background singers did not get credit just got paid and left at one time. After California she toured with Wayne Newton where she was a featured singer for over 4 years working on the same bill or with icons of Tony Bennet, Sammy Davis Jr. just to name a few. Went to Hawaii then back to LA then Nashvile, Atlanta ,Ny York and is still traveling getting her education and experience along the way. She has a son who also writes and a grand daughter named Endia who sings a little. Traveling INTERNATIONALLY AND TEACHING VOICE. HER PIANO & GUITAR SKILLS ARE USED ON HER NEW CD ENTITLED Me, Marsalis and Monk. ....what's the buzz.
