Biography

Performing on his own or with his band, Ethan Collister is a magnetic presence on stage. Whether he's performing at a festival, bar, house concert or community hall, his talent, sincerity and charm captivate audiences everywhere. He has toured Canada extensively and performed at an impressive array of venues ranging from the celebrated North Country Fair in Alberta to the historic Knitting Factory in New York City.

In March of 2012 Ethan Collister celbrated the release of his fourth full-length album entitled "Inner Alchemy". A warm, artful and infectios collection of songs, "Inner Alchemy" clearly affirms Collister's arrival on the Canadian music scene. The album cracked Alberta's CKUA Public Radio top thirty chart within only a week of it's release and was recently featured on CBC Radio One in Calgary.

Having released three previous albums, Collister has earned his chops as a songwriter. He left his hometown of Calgary in 2001. After ten years of music, travel and study, he returned to Calgary in the fall of 2010 and began pushing himself to evolve his music. While working as a youth counselor, he studied songwriting online through the Berklee School of Music. He wrote constantly and attended local jams regularly as he developed the poetry, melodies and arrangements that have come together to form his fourth full-length album "Inner Alchemy".

Setlist

Sets are comprised of original material. Sets can range from 2 songs to 2 hours depending on the nature of the performances. Instrumentation is also versatile - solo performances for smaller venues or a full band for larger spaces.
