Stevie harris is the best soul rock singer songwriter on the planet. perfectly combining the soul of otis redding and al green with the blues and indie rock of buddy guy and sonic youth. born into a soul singing family stevie's uncles and aunts performed with the supremes temptations and the four tops, stevie continues their soul legacy with a little more freak and lyrics about our daily struggle being human. Stevie's 7 piece band, the Hi-Stax consist of members or former members of Breakestra, karl Densons tiny universe, black eyed peas and the styletones, giving stevie and the hi-stax the pedigree for serious soul rock adventures with a full horn section and percussionist allowing for all sorts of curtis mayfieldisms and funky good times on the dance floor.
