QUOTES
"Give it a name! Give it a name!" they cry, in this seething track by Toronto's SLAVE to the SQUAREwave. Okay, how about funkified electro-rock dance music that will make you shake like a monkey in a thunderstorm?

Robert Everett-Green GLOBE & MAIL
"FROM THE BEST BAND OF 2005 FROM THE BEST CD OF 2005...that was SLAVE to the SQUAREwave"
Dave Marsden 94.9 The Rock FM
"SLAVE to the SQUAREwave is a contradiction of a current-retro sound, an accessible-quirkiness. No matter what, they're great fun and guaranteed to make you sit, think and..... dance your head off!"
Pete Watson, UNIVERSAL MUSIC October 2005
"They instantly grabbed me. I just felt there was something very special happening. Then I started putting it on the air. I get a lot - a huge lot - of e-mail but not in the past year have I received so much e-mail about a band I play on the air. Every time I play a track the e-mail pours in."
David Marsden 94.9 The Rock FM

Setlist
SLAVE to the SQUAREwave can make an impact whether in a short 20 minute showcase or in a fully staged show. The band has enough original material to fill 5 X 40 minute sets. Crowd favourites include "Spit On Me", "Evolution No.9 ", "Gorilla Swingin' Discotheque" and "Taxi".
Some covers can be included in the sets, and consist of worked over versions of popular songs such as The Tragically Hip's "New Orleans Is Sinking", The Spencer Davis Group's "I'm a Man" or Rush's "Tom Sawyer". A selection as eclectic as the band itself!
