Biography

PHAT CAT is a Gospel Rap artist from Sunnyside WA. Being delivered from Drugs and alcohol, PHAT CAT felt a burning desire to seek the truth in life...and turned to Jesus!

With a burning desire to reach the masses and fulfill the great commission, CAT is using his love and talent for hip hop as a tool to spread messages of hope and redemption. In 2004 he released his debut effort "Cloudy Dreams" with production from local producer Vic Zendez. The cd has done well not only at an independant level, but internationally too with 10% of his sales being to Japan! This album has kind of an old school feel and deals with heavy hitting issues such as suicide and abortion in "Every Tear". It also has strong ministry about prayer and forgiving your enemies.

With the success of his first album, PHAT CAT recorded and released his sophomore release "Behind The Mask" late 2006. This album is blessed with very talented producers such as multi-platinum producer Funk Daddy, II Tre of A-State Ent. outta Arkansas, Salty Beatz outta Los Angelas, and CROW of Bruthaz Grimm outta Portland. Also featured are very talented national artists such as K2S from the West Coast and Karusso from the East/South. This is a very hard hitting album with a generous 17 tracks to give CAT's fans a little more!

PHAT CAT has a love for the ministry end of things which includes doing jail ministry w/Prisoners For Christ out of the Seattle area. CAT has also ministered at countless different churches & youth events and has toured w/The Extreme Tour West Coast. Alongside fellow rap artist Soul The Interrogator, Phat Cat has walked the streets of Haiti and ministered, performed, and fellowhsipped in the 2nd poorest country in the world! No matter what denomination or venue...salvation through Jesus Christ is what we preach. "Music is a passion, but Jesus is the reason behind everything we do."

Setlist

Sets vary upon amount of time given and type of venue. For example, a church performance would be a totally different list of songs than a jail/prison performance. Sets usually are between 30 and 60 minutes but I am very flexible. If you wanted a good solid set with fast songs, slow songs, and testimony...here's a typical set:
