In the vein of James Taylor, John Tracy brings a transparent view to the listener through his contemporary/inspirational music. With influences ranging from Dan Fogelberg, Jim Croce to Jackson Browne, John Tracy takes the genre of melodious, acoustic guitar driven American folk to another level. Singer/songwriter John Tracy knows that “timeless songs are the ones that move your soul and spirit” and this is exemplified through his wide variety of original music. With a soulful voice and grassroots tunes that steal your heart from the very first honest lyric, John Tracy’s music takes you back to the innocent past. The unforgettable melodies rest on the very being and heart of the one who wrote them. His acoustic guitar driven sound has an authenticity that resonates with listeners of any age.

Beginning his full-time music career in October of 2006, John Tracy has been nothing but faithful to his passion and calling. Since then, he has released two albums of his originally written tracks. His debut CD “Slow Down” steals your attention with the first strum of his acoustic guitar. With memorable songs like “Good Strong Love” and his title track “Slow Down”, John Tracy brings you to the reality of love, life and family. His second CD “Break the Chain” was released on SoundCafe’ Records in 2008. His music has been heard by a variety of audiences and his transparency in his songwriting creates an immediate connection between artist and listener.

John Tracy appears frequently in house concerts, coffee houses, listening rooms, church and community events throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond.

Setlist

Live performances feature John Tracy on acoustic guitar singing original songs. Typical sets are approximately 45 minutes consisting of a mixture of songs from both his CD releases, as well as new songs not yet recorded built around sharing his message.

His music is also ideal for coffee houses, House Concerts, festivals, intimate venues and unplugged acoustic settings. All music is family-friendly.
