Biography

Helen is a singer and songwriter who's songs detail wide-ranging life situations both on a personal and universal level. Her lyrics often take the listener on intricate trips through the darkest crevices of the soul, pulled through the other side by, if not complete hope, than vital understanding. These journeys are accompanied by a predominantly electronic, yet varied musical pallete, pulled from her upbringing in the San Francisco Bay Area: East Bay soul, British Punk and New Wave, South Bay rock and North Bay folk all figure in the tasty, provocative stew that forms her music.

Album Release:

Helen recorded a brand new CD, Monochrome In Technicolor, during the month of February as part of the RPM Challenge. Recorded with just the barest o f equipment, the songs have already reached the top 20 on sites such as Soundclick.com. The CD can now be purchased from CD Baby, Amazon, and on Itunes!

Her previous songs have already reached the top of the charts on numerous music websites. Helens music can be purchased at artistlaunch.com/Helens. Helen Sventitsky is currently working with A&R Select, an independent A&R firm based in Hollywood, California. A&R Select is representing the artists work for possible record deals; film, television and video game scores; and publishing deals.

  Singer-songwriter Helen Sventitsky's composition, "Desert Storm", has been chosen for inclusion in t...Singer-songwriter Helen Sventitsky's composition, "Desert Storm", has been chosen for inclusion in the upcoming compilation CD, Just Talents, Vol. 1. This CD, also containing songs from other emerging artists such as the Divys, Shay Dillon and Christa, has been put together by ResearchMusic (http://www.researchmusic.com), a record label and music publishing firm based out of Miami, FL. This CD will be released on March 1 for digital distribution, with brick-and-mortar release on March 20th (that's your local record stores, kids) to follow in the US. The CD will also be distributed in 25 other countries, including all major markets.
  
  Helen Sventitsky has released one EP (Field Recordings and Free Readings, 2003), and is in the process of completing another, Stories from the Road, that is scheduled for release mid-March/mid-April of 07.
