Biography

"We're Beauxregard, STAND UP!!" The audience scrambles to their feet. "Come closer, Dearies...so that I may see you in this light..." they all move forward, and it begins.

A fluid motion takes the room hostage, an action so natural, that it's almost instinctive. The urge to physically participate is so strong, they don't even try to fight it. And why would they? It's what they came for....

With influences like Queen, New Order, The Who, Gang of Four, Sonic Youth, and The Flaming lips, Beauxregard is fervently committed to all facets of the Rock and Roll performance both live and recorded.

High energy, guitar noise, drum fills, windmill strums are just the beginning of what one might come to expect from a Beauxregard performance. And the dancing...let us not forget the dancing....

Lead vocalist and front man J. Quincy Romine grips the audience from the beginning by practically (if not literally) daring them to involve themselves. He then hands them ever-so-subtly into the waiting arms of Daniel Robertson on guitar, Jon Toles on the bass and the beautiful and talented Laura Watkins on the keys. The audience is mesmerized by the song writing capabilities of Ryan Rhodes and the steady, driving kick provided by Curtis Tinsley.

Beauxregard has 3 members (Romine, Rhodes, and Toles) formerly of the fuzz-pop outfit known as The Trophy Club. They were privileged to be associated with bands/performers like Cornmo, The Dooms U.K., The Tah-Dahs, Lift To Experience, The River Boat Gamblers, Jet Screamer, and others local to the Dallas/Ft. Worth/Denton music scene that have received national and international acclaim.

Quincy Romine and Ryan Rhodes had for many years been writing material seperate from what they were doing with The Trophy Club. So when The Trophy Club broke up in the summer of 2003, it wasn't much of a stretch to think that the two of them would consider forming an entirely new band eventually. And thus, after nearly two and a half years and a rather unfortunate incident involving Daniel Robertson's Antique Fireworks Museum (who knew they would still work after all that time?), Beauxregard was born. AND A HAPPY ROCK-N-ROLL AFTERNOON TO YOU, SIR OR MA'AM!!!!
