Artist Information
Biography
Lisa has sung with Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Rob Thomas, Darryl Hall, and Cyndi Lauper, among others. Lisa’s last CD reached #1 on two indie charts, and #4 on the college charts. With the release of her new CD, Bleu Room With A Red Vase, she is poised to be a breakthrough artist in 2011.
Lisa is one of those rare artists that can bring you to tears one moment, such as on “Where You Are,” a heartfelt tribute to her mother, whom she lost to alcoholism at a young age, and then have you laughing out loud, with songs such as “Only The Tequila Talkin’,” a playful duet with John Popper.
And while she may still be an underground artist to fans, she has the respect of her fellow musicians, as evidenced by the fact that the CD has contributions from John Popper and Brendan Hill of Blues Traveler, Rob Hyman of The Hooters, the legendary David Bromberg, chart-topping World Music artist Erin Hill, guitarist Bobby Bandiera (Bon Jovi), violinist Lorenza Ponce (Sheryl Crow), renowned producer Ed Stasium, and hit songwriters such as John Eddie (Kid Rock) and Glen Burtnik (Styx).
Lisa has toured regionally and nationally, opening up for artists such as Blues Traveler, Meat Loaf, Kansas, John Waite, Ingrid Michaelson, Nancy Sinatra, Richard Marx, Hot Tuna, and many others, playing venues from clubs to arenas.
Her style has been compared to Jason Mraz, Sheryl Crow, and Jewel, but what sets her music apart is an edge reminiscent of classic artists such as Neil Young and Tom Petty.
Lisa started singing at a young age, because although her parents loved her deeply, the only time they would stop arguing was when little Lisa sang. Now, after losing both her parents, she still sings every chance she gets, whether it be driving thousands of miles across the US on her own, which she did on her last tour, or playing in the train station for tips. In fact, she was recently interviewed on NPR Radio about her experiences “busking” in the Philadelphia train station.
Bleu Room With A Red Vase has been gaining momentum with adds at WCOO, KRSH, KTAO, WZEW, WBJB, and KBAC, among others. She has made live on-air appearances on WFUV in New York (Legendary radio host Pete Fornatale called her a "gem"), WBJB in New Jersey, WCOO in Charleston, SC, and KRSH in Santa Rosa, CA, among others.
Lisa has appeared on NBC, ABC, Fox, ESPN, and the hit TV show “Gossip Girls.” She will be touring throughout 2011.
