Biography
"I was a bluegrass songwriter for a long time," explains Annie Lynn. "And somehow, I now find myself neck deep in the children's music genre. It's a niche that sort of found me...no, it OVERTOOK me. There was no escape! Really. With kids, they give you enough material to fill at least a CD a year, so you have no choice but to run with it."
A collaboration between Annie and engineer/producer/songwriter Chris Arms, recently produced the pop anthems "NO TIME FOR HATE," and "STOP THAT!" which are endorsed by and licensed to Teachers Against Prejudice (www.teachersagainstprejudice.org), as well as A Better Philadelphia, Inc. (www.abetterphiladelphia.org) and are being used in both organizations' assembly and worshop programs. "No Time For Hate" has enjoyed 87 weeks in the Broadjam.com Top 10 Children's Genre, since it's release there, and "STOP THAT!" has been in the same Children's Top 10 for the past 16 weeks.
Recently, Annie took one of the elementary schools that licensed three of her songs, (NO TIME FOR HATE, STOP THAT! - an anti bullying anthem, and Listen - a nature song)to perform at the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania State Capitol Rotunda for state senators, representatives and visitors on an anti-bullying platform.
SONGWRITING AWARDS:
Oct. 2010 - "New School" has been selected for a fundraising CD Compilation called "Songs to Laugh Your Ass Off" produced by The Assoc. of Artists for A Better World.
>>>Oct. 2010 - "No Time For Hate" is a semi-finalist (almost made top 5) in the 2010 Song of The Year Int'l Songwriting Competition.
>>> In May 2009, "No Time For Hate" (Annie Lynn & Chris Arms) was a Top 10 Finalist in the Unisong International Songwriting Contest.
>>> In Sept 2008, "NO TIME FOR HATE" was a semi-finalist in the U.K. Songwriting Contest.

>>> In January, 2007 Annie and her 11 year old son, Alexander finished as Top 10 Finalists in the 3rd Annual INTERNATIONAL ACOUSTIC MUSIC AWARDS for Best Group/Duo for their children's song, "That's All There Is."
>>> Children's song, "New School," a #1 Top 10 on Broadjam.com in Children's & Bluegrass, was selected, along with national children's recording artists, for inclusion on the 2008 Indie Music For Life CD Compiliation to benefit pediatric cancer research. The CD will also be distributed nationally to pediatric cancer patients.
Annie, son Alexander, and a troupe of talented children now perform Annie's songs (often on an anti-bullying platform) at schools and camps in the Delaware Valley, as well as being featured regularly on WXPN's (Philadelphia) Peabody Award Winning "Kid's Corner" with Kathy O'Connell. Annie also established and is the President/Chief Composer of AnnieBirdd Music, LLC. This publishing company is bringing the music of Annie and others to radio, tv, film, schools, internet and other exciting outlets.
This summer, Annie DIGITALLY released two CD's "Songs About Cookies and Life" and "No Time For Hate and Other Songs For Schools." AnnieBirdd Music, LLC is currently licensing songs to schools and non-profit groups in the U.S.
