Biography

The Aimless is an open-ended music collective led and organized by singer/songwriter Jon Latimer. The group now has 5 releases under their belt, and has worked with a number of local indie labels. In 2006, the band released two EPs on The Bay Area's Tricycle Records. They then released their first full-length, self-titled album on Devil In The Woods Records in 2008. In 2009, they released the 'Tran-EP' - a limited run 3D tape with a digital download key, recorded as a 3 piece, with veteran drummer Eric Kuhn (of Built For the Sea/ Silian Rail), and in cooperation with the East-Bay label, 500 Records. Their latest release, "The High Dive to Lo-Fi Volume 1", is their first self-produced, self-released full-length, and features the same playful and experimental approach to song writing, but spanning genres ranging from folk to rock, electro and more. With catchy songs written with 'a little something for everyone', the aimless never miss is guaranteed to please!
