Biography

A cheeky rock duo from Toronto who pride themselves on their creative use of cardboard and confetti shooters at live shows, ZPITTZ are a riot.

Poised to release their second EP "Silly Bearded F*cks" this spring, ZPITTZ is working hard to make a name for themselves as unforgettable live performers. From building miniature cardboard cities, to littering the stage with giant unicorns, ZPITTZ always rip through their sets like a tsunami (and stay to clean up the mess).

Their stage antics never upstage their unique blend of Infectious hooks and driving rhythms. While they may not be reinventing the wheel, they are adding some flashy new rims to modern rock.

"Our live shows are fast, funny, and over before you know what happened. That way we either leave you wanting more, or are off the stage before you're bored".

  By the time Zpittz, a two-piece made up of Zazoo (vocals, guitar) and Mat aka Lumberbot (drums), was...By the time Zpittz, a two-piece made up of Zazoo (vocals, guitar) and Mat aka Lumberbot (drums), was on stage to close out the night, most of the crowd had cleared out and Rancho Relaxo was practically empty by the end of the set. This led to quite an awkward apology to booker/TWM promoter Dan Wolovick, saying, “Sorry that not one of our friends showed up tonight.” It’s a shame, though, as Zpittz is loud, cheeky and oh so catchy. They still put on a fun and energetic set, thankful for those who stuck around. Perhaps they’ll have better luck next time with a better turnout, or at least know better than to draw attention to the giant pink elephant in the room

  After months of going to almost all their shows and being dubbed “#1 Fan!” I thought it was about ti...After months of going to almost all their shows and being dubbed “#1 Fan!” I thought it was about time to share with you my best kept secret: ZPITTZ. Now I’m not trying to keep this two-piece alternative rock band a secret because it’s a guilty pleasure, no… It’s more of an “I wanted to be serenaded” type of deal. But since I’ve finally come to accept that this is selfish of me, I thought I would turn over a new leaf and let the cat out of the bag. ZPITTZ consists of two talented dudes: First up is Zazoo Pittz on guitar and vocals, and second up playing drums is his main squeeze Lumberbot. Now I know you’re probably thinking “what about the bass player?” Well here’s the thing: there isn’t one and although there isn’t, the music still offers many full layers in sound. Making you instinctively tap your toes and bop your head to the catchy rhythm and clever lyrics of their tunes. Hell, some of you may even find yourselves busting out air-guitar and that’s okay, I know ZPITTZ won’t judge. Their high-energy performance is so infectious you would be considered a Mummy if you didn’t feel the unrelenting need to somehow move your body. Their personalities and constant banter on stage will have you laughing your ass off, and left wondering what could possibly be next. So why not grab some friends and check out ZPITTZ for yourselves. It’s a fact, these boys are well-endowed with musical talent and it’s about time you heard it!

Except, unlike your real life friends, they have heavy musical talent so hot it will make your eardrums sweat. Speaking of eardrums, guard ‘em. Lumberbot beats the skins for ZPITTZ, and rest assured, he will lay down an assault on all types of drums, including the ones in your head. Zazoo goes “No hands, Mom!” on the microphone because he needs both of them to show his guitar who’s boss. Prepare to be mesmerized by his cataclysmic multi-tasking.
