We're four thirty-something guys who've all been in bands our entire life. Our weird, catchy, sax-drenched outfit is composed of a Berklee school alum, a major-label vet, a well-respected Nashville session player and a poet who writes intensely unique, unforgettable and well-crafted songs. We started the band for fun but now have simply gotten too good and outgrown Monterey. It would be a tragedy for The Suborbitals not to be heard on bigger stages. As a result we've decided to take it out of the county and play wherever and whenever we can simply out of a deep, abiding respect for the music that has emerged from our unexpected and unlikely collaboration.
Ryan Masters - Guitar, Lead Vocals
Heath Proskin - Bass
Ben Herod - Saxophone, flute, Melodica
Gordon Stokes - Drums
Blackout Rolling - Trixie Frog Records - 2006 - LP
Live in Monterey - Trixie Frog Records - 2006 - Live LP (only available on-line)

We've got a standard three-set show that consists of 90 percent originals. You can hear alot of this online and also download our studio tracks.
When we do play covers, we play Tom Waits, Duran Duran, David Bowie and whatever else tickles our fancy and fits the SubO sound.
