"White Bison Ambushes Music Scene"

Jesse Haynes and Ethan Dorsett were eating a buffalo chicken pita when they came up with a name for their new band. It started with "buffalo," which eventually led them to "Bison."
Finally, it was settled- Haynes and Dorsett's group would be called White Bison.
"I guess you could say if I didn't order a bufalo chicken pita, we wouldn't have a band name," said Haynes.
Although the band is still young, the group's members have signed 12-month contracts with SER Media and Associates, a media consulting and management company. Dorsett said they want to avoid being scammed out of money.
"We're all trying to figure it out, which can be frustrating," said Dorsett, the lead guitarist. "But at the same time we're trying to come at this as a team and be finanially smart about this, because we know the horror stories."
White Bison became a client of SER Media after Wharton, the group's bassist, convinced his friend Dillon Roulet, SER Media's Director of Artist Relation, to come hear the band practice in a studio at Denton's CityParc.
"They have something for everybody," Roulet said. "They're indie, but they're not weird. They have soul, but they're not R&B. They're rock but they're not the Ramones." - North Texas Daily

About the Members:

Jesse Haynes- Lead Vocals
Haynes is a born and raised Texan. A lifetime vocalist, he picked up guitar six years ago, under the influences of Dave Matthews Jim James and Merle Haggard. He formed White Bison in 2012 with Ethan Dorsett with the dream of bringing their unique sound to the masses.

Ethan Dorsett- Lead Guitar
Dorsett hails from Fort Worth, Texas, a city of diverse cultures that lives and breathes music. He began playing the guitar at a young age, inspired by an encounter with Sir Paul McCartney. He formed White Bison with friend and fellow musician Jesse Haynes in 2012.

Mark Randall- Bass
Mark Randall first began playing music at the age of fourteen. He has performed in a wide variety of musical groups with genres that include gospel, country, jazz, and rock. Mark joined White Bison as their bassist in March 2013.

Martin Morgan- Keyboards
Morgan grew up in Plano, Texas. Having started piano lessons at age seven, he intensified his studies in High School. Currently, Martin is a student studying composition at the University of North Texas. Classically trained, Morgan appreciates a traditional approach to music. John Hollinger- Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
John began his musical ventures way back in the Fourth Grade. He developed his musical persona by picking up guitar, bass, ukelele and piano. Hollinger later went on to attend Colorado State University as a Music Education major. He met Haynes over ten years ago, and has performed with him on and off ever since.
