"Babasónicos show a retrospective"

...But Monterrey's 60 Tigres were the opening highlight, with a vigorous dance-punk-disco-funk feel from wrangling bass, percussive flourishes and edgy performance energy that felt like a Gang of Four remix, pulling fans onstage for an impromptu thrash-vogue session. - Chicago Tribune

"Show Review: BABASONICOS at Congress Theater"

60 Tigres, from Mexico, did an amazing job with their disco-rock, psychedlic funk music. They had performed the night before at Cobra Lounge for Remezcla's "La Otra Puerta Series" and were on a roll in acquiring new fans across our city. The boys, hailing from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, have seen a huge increase in their fan base since their first visit to Chicago. Word of mouth promotion works wonders when you make such an impressive impact on the crowd before you. Their off-stage handling of fans was also impressive as they were ready and willing to take photos, give autographs and just hang out with the dozens of kids swarming around them. - Enchufate

"60 Tigres (Monterrey, N.L.)"

Recomendable si te gusta: Los Amigos Invisibles, Kinky, The Pinker Tones, y la onda retro/psicodélica/funketera moderada.

Escucha: Los Emigrantes, El Arma Secreta y Dentro de mi Cuerpo.

"After Silence by Martin De Leon"

For new bands, shopping for a label sucks. Every month I'll try and give shine to at least on unsigned producer or band. 60 Tigres are a synth-punk group from Monterrey, Mexico and are touring behind terrific Los Emigrantes CD-R. DFA, if you're reading this, a moustache-sporting Juan MacLean can't be that bad, right?
- XLR8R

"Los Emigrantes"

The Monterrey representatives of disco-punk (a surprisingly shocking concept for both, punk and disco fans) present their new complete album, in which they show why it’s them who point direction of the rhythm on the dance floors of Northern Mexico. - Daniel RT

"California Tour"

Although not easy to define, the psychedelic, funk-punk dance beats that Spanglish Alternativo quintet out of Monterrey Mexico creates is nothing less vibrant, energetic, catchy and very, very now. While some music lovers categorize them in the ranks of Zoe, Babasonicos, Los Amigos Invisibles with European twist others like my self are just glad they exist. - Press

"60 Tigres"

- Page Magazine

They’ve been through many changes in the musical and visual aspects, always making their live shows a new experience.

Their music could be defined as a hybrid of funk, rock, punk, latin music and psychedelic. Their repertoire, in spite of being ecliectic, is full of energy, reason why their events always conclude in party full of dances.

With influences like The Talking Heads, The Clash, International Noise Conspiracy, The Who and Gang of Four, 60 Tigres have created their own style by mixing foreign influences with Spanish and English lyrics, always trying to reflect the social situation of the daily life in México.

The first recording was made in their studio in Monterrey, N.L., where they recorded their first EP called "América”, over the summer of 2005. The band has managed itself independently in order to be able to self-finance and maintain their promotion in México and the US.

Their new album is called "Los Emigrantes", which was recorded and produced by themselves and with collaborations of Luis Guerra, Miguel Moreno, Luis Escamilla, mixed and post-produced by Memo Guerra in London and masterized by Marco Moreno in México City.
