Thousands of visitors will converge on the Bucktown and Wicker Park neighborhoods of Chicago in one of the city's most interesting celebrations of the arts October 11-14, 2007. Over 300 painters, sculptors, photographers, installation artists and printmakers will join up with emerging artists from Chicago's theatre, music, literary and film communities to offer a weekend packed full of exhibits, lectures, art tours and performances. The festival brings together neighborhood galleries, schools and non-profit arts organizations under one umbrella with private art studios and local businesses that, for the weekend, transform themselves into public galleries.
The focus of the Fall Arts Festival is on new and emerging artists, of which over 80 will perform on 6 stages throughout the weekend. Any and all emerging artists of all genres are encouraged to submit.
Last year’s attendance hit 10,000, and the festival is celebrating its 18th year.
