"CD REVIEW"

Heart for the Hills
author: Jeffrey Abbe

I bought two copies of "Heart for the Hills". Both came to me in good condition. I unwrapped one of them in the car while making my way to Pennsylvania. What beautiful music! Now I know why this group appeared center stage at Poppy Mountain! "Heart for the Hills" is new and most of the tracks are authored by the singers, but the sound is very traditional and the songs seem as though they were written long ago and perhaps found as buried treasure so to speak in between the pages of someones family Bible. I'd love to hear some new coal miner songs in your next CD. I just know Blue Maggie can come up with some new stuff that sounds like it was written during the Battle of Blair Mountain :) I'm looking forward to your next work of art!

"Bluegrass Returns !"

Excellent Bluegrass Finally Returns
author: Toban M. Preast

This is one of the best traditional bluegrass bands that I have heard in a long time. I encourage more songs and even some bluegrass gospel will sound great with their vocals. This a great band that is full of energy and well worth seeing live (not only on the Radio!).
