The Canary Islands International Song Contest - 7th Edition

The Canary Islands International Song Contest is an international songwriting and singing contest that began in 2001. More than 1,700 songwriters from 37 countries have participated in the last 6 editions.

Songwriters and Singers may submit either original works or interpretations of published songs. There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies in each category, plus a Canary Islands International Trophy will be awarded in the following categories: Best Song, Best Singer, Best International Artist and Best National Artist. There will also be Special Diplomas and Mentions of Honor awarded.

Songwriters should submit in the “Original works” category. Interpretations will be judged on the quality of singing, rather than the song itself.

We provide opportunities to exhibit your talent and creations and the venue to compete with other world artists. From the Canary Islands, the Festival promotes all the winners in front of recording companies, music publishers, artist agencies and media outlets. All the finalists' works will be included on the The Canary Islands International Song Contest CD, edited annually by the festival organization. The CD will be sent to Record Companies, Music Publishers, Artists’ Agencies and Media for the promotion of the winners.

All entries will be judged by a panel of music industry professionals from nine countries including important producers, songwriters, lyricists, journalists, music publishers from 9 countries (20 Jury members total).
