"CD Review for the Whiskey Poet"

"Craig DeMelo's THE WHISKEY POET is an acoustic driven album filled with elements of jam styled rock, ballads, blues, and soul, and showcases his abilit as a solid singer/songwriter... it flows very well from beginning to end and is a good example what Craig DeMelo does best."- Paul Sanguinetti Southcoast247.com April 2007 - Southcoast247.com

"Top New Bedford musicians of all-time"

"Craig DeMelo is a unique artist with his beautiful acoustic guitar work and Matthews-Mayer-like vocals. His songwriting is very interesting and well laid out. His songs have great lyrics, great twists, great space for harmony and other additives and construe thoughtful ideas and visions. His talent for "flowing" or basically (freestyle) rapping is used in a very cool way that embraces the crowd. Craig is a local favorite becuase of his great songwriting, entertaining style, and musicianship."- Jamie Despres, Standard Times correspondent and WUMD DJ - Standard Times May 2008

"SoCo Magazine music spread"

"DeMelo is in no short supply of talent and style. He plays the guitar every bit as well as the musicians who inspired him, and sings every bit as well, too. He has perfected that style that he loves. The manic, endlessly looping acoustic guitar riffs, the strong falsetto that can shoot out of his normal voice at any moment and the emotionally charged out-front lyrics...he's got the whole thing working. And the crowd eats it up...He is undeniably and more than respectably, a gifted musician."- Corey J. Silva, Soco Magazine - Soco Magazine August 2008

"Cd Review"

"DeMelo's voice is sweet and likable, with clear, literate lyrics that are tailor-made for AOR radio. Songs such as "So Be It" and "Hit the Ground" are sensative and songwritery, while "Johnny Blue" and "Let's Talk Money" boast the subtle and soulful blues flavor of his early artishood. The fact is, both the yin and the yang sides are pretty damn good and, if all falls into place, DeMelo has the prospect of growing into a major pop-type artist. As far as we're concerned, a future beckons."-Bob Gulla, The Boston Phoenix Magazine, February 20, 2007. - The Boston Phoenix Magazine

"Review 2"

"The New Bedford native's creative evolution has been captured in the upcoming release "The Whiskey Poet," a collection of a dozen masterfully produced acoustic-based rock cuts. The Musicianship is mature but sharp, the melodies are emotive and laced with sweet harmonies. The record sounds as quality as anything in your current CD collection, particularly if you're into Dave Matthews, John Mayer, or the Goo Goo Dolls."-Sean Mccarthy, The Wailing City, March 16, 2007. - The Wailing City

"A&R Comments"

"I saw Craig play in New York a few months back and was overly impressed by his performance. His musicianship and stage banter were both extremely compelling. He has great songs, a great vibe, and its only a matter of time before his talents are discovered by the masses."-Chris Foitle, Dir. A&R Atlantic Records - Atlantic Records
