Bio
Daniel Symons, the creative guru behind D-JEONG
is an electronic music composer/performer who is influenced from all sorts of electronic/experimental music genres, such as, EDM (electronic dance music), Hip Hop, Industrial Music, Ambient Music, and Beat Production.
Daniel graduated from WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts) at the end of 2012 with a bachelors degree in Composition and Music Technology. Throughout his time at WAAPA, he's collaborated with a number of contemporary dance choreographers who all ended up being chosen for the Breaking Out showcase which was held at the Dolphin Theatre in August 2012, plus he has worked with various sound art installations as well as getting into the world of soundtrack writing for films.
Daniel has a broad range of styles that he composes in, whether it's a conventional hip hop beat, to harsh and heavy Industrial sounds, to dance music or to drone/ambient works, yet still maintaining his dark side to the music. By melding all of his influences together becomes an orgy of beauty, darkness, harshness, phat grooves and most of all, uniqueness.

A night where many of Perth's experimental wizards dominate The Perth Artifactory in Osbourne Park once a month, feeding our ears with sounds that have never been out of the woodwork before.
A Night of Industrial Music-
Again held at The Perth Artifactory. There's not really much of an Industrial Music Scene in Perth so this night was to showcase the scene and bring it to life.
Surface Tension-
A night where Perth's local DJ's and Beat-makers can strut their stuff. Held at Matches Small Bar in Northbridge. This showcased my Hip Hop and EDM genres.
Village Oblivia-
Held at The Velvet Lounge in Mount Lawly (behind The Flying Scottsman). A night of dark electronics, beats and ambience.
as well as continuing working on collaborations with more dance choreographers and film writers.
