Bio

The Eureka Family Band is a jam folk rock band with influences from many genres: classic rock, folk, pop, blues, funk, punk, metal and classical. The band is fronted by 2 firey females, Heather Noe & Mary Swick. Both ladies sing and play guitar. The girls mix it up on occasion with a ukulele, mandolin and violin. The male talent of the band is Doug Fresh and JD Swick. Doug keeps the beat real on drumbs. Before the Eureka Family Band, Doug was in a funk jam band in Athens, OH. JD Swick & Heather Noe are the creators of the Eureka Family Band. They fell in love. Now JD & Heather bring love and peace to the world through their music. JD plays the melodic piano and harmonica. This is his debut band; breaking onto the local Cincinnati scene. The Eureka Family Band also features returning guest perfromers, Jose Novales on percussion/hand drumbs, and Preston Charles Bell III on Violin. The Eureka Family Band is certainly unique, and something the world needs to see.

They write all of our songs together. The Eureka Family band wants to keep it exciting so they try to write across the board in all genres. Right now our sound is folky and slightly bluesy, with a hint of country. We want to rock and roll and get people moving!

TEFB is heavily influenced by The Beatles, The White Stripes, The Band and Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Velvet Underground, Fleetwood Mac and Annie Lennox.

Eureka is led by two talented females, Heather Noe and Mary Swick. Mary Swick has soprano vocals and rocks out lead guitar.

Heather Noe sings has a dirty blues vocal touch and hammers out the rhythm on guitar. She also plays violin.

JD Swick tickles the ivory with heavy classical touch yet modern blues rock vibe shines through.

Dough Fresh plays drums and rounds out the sound of a rocking band for Eureka. Formerly a drummer for an Athens Funk Band.
