"Life Has No Script Interview"

The female MC, a rare find to most hip-hop heads of this decade, once obtaining credit in the 90’s, has seemingly disappeared inside the belly of the music industry. A passion for sneakers and love for music led LifeHasNoScript to cross paths with a female MC by the name of Eyeris who’s rhymes ride melodic beats from The Brown Bomber, has allowed her to perform at events such as the heralded South by Southwest Music Festival all the way to Hip Hop Kemp in the Czech Republic. She’s definitely has some experience behind her mic, recently dropping the mixtape Tha Carter.5, as she continues to gain attention and fans around the globe with her dedication. We got the chance to pull her away from the mic stand for a minute to tell us about her and the music she creates, keeping female MC’s relevant despite the stereotypes and decreasing number of female artists. - Life Has No Script.com

"We So Fresh interview"

always performing and creating, Eyeris would have her first demo done before she finished high school and would be well known throughout Hip Hop circles in Portland, OR. by 18 years old, she was in New York in ciphers and building a reputation for her style and wordplay.

since then she has created a niche and generated a following having had the opportunity to tour Europe in 2008a and sharing stages with Roxanne Shante, The Roots, Jean Grae and Invincible.

she's been promoting her most recent project The Carter .5 Mixtape from Steph Pockets and DJ Rev Shines and I had the pleasure of rocking with her on The Hip Hop Howl Showcase at SXSW this year. aside from being talented and driven, her style is one you will not forget, from the rapid fire flow to the honesty of lyrics.

known for bringing artists together for shows and events, her efforts are geared towards solidifying the foundation of Hip Hop. she puts her spirit into everything she creates and shares with the world and is the next generation of women in Hip Hop, and that makes her one to watch! - Bless Roxwell

Bio

Proving that young emcees have an untouchable energy, Eyeris has mastered the way of bridging the old and new school of hip-hop. In the tradition of hip-hop, she rocks the stage as one emcee and quickly adapts to rock a crowd with any DJ. If you don’t see her on the stage, she is overpowering the cipher with her creative flow and powerful wordplay.

Born in Michigan, she spent her early years performing in school talent shows and writing poetry. At the age of 15, Eyeris moved to Portland, Oregon and before finishing high school recorded her first demo tape and became well known in the hip-hop scene. There, she linked with DJ Rev Shines of Quannum Projects and started building with local artists such as Ohmega Watts and Siren’s Echo. After moving to New York at 18, she was able to evolve her craft and rock any crowd from up-beat parties to hip-hop shows and small open mic venues.

Within the past 4 years, Eyeris has created a following for herself not only in the club and hip-hop scenes in New York and Portland, but also around Europe. She has shared the stage with hip-hop legends such as The Roots and Roxanne Shante but has also helped build a foundation for the new school with other young artists by organizing open mics and parties thus bringing up coming artists together. Her unique voice will draw you in, her lyrics will keep you listening, and her energy will make you never want to leave!
