Gig Overview
Feed The Band is pleased to announce the creation of a compilation CD of original music. The goal is to showcase original music from the best emerging independent artists on Sonicbids. There will be four genre-specific compilations released per year, starting with Feed the ROCK Band Compilation. The CD will be distributed to a wide variety of coffeehouses and bookstores and also to indie-friendly and college radio stations in summer 2008.
Submissions are open to a variety of ROCK genres, including: Punk, Post Punk, Rock, Alternative, Funk Rock, Folk Rock, Indie Rock - you get the drift. There are 8 slots on the disc reserved for Sonicbids artists.
Selected artists will receive five copies of the CD for their own use as well as royalties of $0.10 per unit sold for any copies sold beyond the first run of 1,000. Selected artists may also be asked to perform at a local Southern California venue for a CD release event during the Fall/Winter, 2007. Songs must be original songs with no samples, unless cleared. Material cannot be any longer than 4 minutes.
Feed The Band is a division of Feed The Band Music Charities, Inc. in Southern California, USA. All profits/proceeds go directly to Feed The Band Music Charities, Inc. to support independent touring bands.
