GASLIGHT HAS WON A MUSIC AWARD! The Toronto Exclusive Magazine (Online) Awards has voted our 4 song EP "Gaslight" BEST POP EP for its 2007 Music Awards!

GASLIGHT was also NOMINATED for BEST POP SONG ("Would it Change")

We have also been NOMINATED for BEST POP SONG ("Bobby Heaven wasn't Ready") by THE ONTARIO INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS. These results will be out in November 2007.

BIO:

Donny Quinlan and John Sheridan have been writing songs for over twenty years.

"Donny and I have been writing songs together for a long time, basically as a hobby, and of course it's a great excuse to drink a gallon of whiskey and have a few hundred laughs!"

Up until now, John and Donny have never "shopped" their material. They only submitted one song to a major songwriting contest in London, Ontario. They won First Place.

"It wasn't until 2006, as we were approaching the 5th anniversary of the 9-11 Tragedy, that things changed. We wrote a powerful 9-11 tribute called 'Would it Change' and enlisted the award-winning Mississauga Childrens Choir to help us deliver our message to the world."

"Would it Change" is a masterpiece. It will send chills through you when you hear these children sing. It's awesome. The song began to attract attention locally. The band was featured on Rogers Television and in the local newspaper.

"We partnered with World Vision and created a website at www.woulditchange.com to help raise money to any and all children who have been hurt by any terrorist act in the world. "

The subsequent exposure that resulted from "Would it Change" inspired John and Donny to finally release some of their other material. They put together a phenomenally talented group of musicians, called themselves "Gaslight", and went into the studio. The result? Their long-awaited 4 song Demo.

"We have a huge catalogue of fabulous, original songs, mostly in the pop/rock, adult-contemporary genre."
