“John Hancock (keyboards), Jack Stone (guitar) and Stella Loreto (vocals) fill out the roster, allowing Gypsy to properly cover the original Fleetwood Mac songs. Mark Williamson explained some of the challenges: “We have four vocalists, and that is what it takes to cover these songs. Several other bands try, but just can’t recreate those harmonies.” Mat Carfi explained other challenges of covering Fleetwood Mac: “By the time they released ‘Rumours’ they had Lindsey Buckingham. When he left the band, it took two guitar players to replace him, he was that good. Fleetwood Mac had always been a revolving door for stellar guitarists.” An audience with an intimate knowledge of the material could be considered a blessing or a curse, adding pressure to be spot-on at every performance, but Gypsy’s shows have a great energy, There is an immediate connection with the audience. “Every show is like a greatest hits show,”” - Tony Centonez

Music can become timeless, bringing people together, evoking memories. In the last 50 or so years we have witnessed a handful of bands whose impact is so broad as to inspire tribute bands: the Beatles, Kiss, Pink Floyd and Queen, among others. Now, some talented local musicians have come together to form Gypsy, a band which faithfully recreates the sound and songs of Fleetwood Mac. Gypsy performs a free show starting 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Appleton Harley-Davidson, 2501 Hwy. 41A Bypass. Dee Miller and Kenny Hummer have been performing together for many years. Last September, Kenny proposed an idea: “Dee, let’s put together a Fleetwood Mac tribute band.” Dee’s voice is strong, and similar in many ways to Stevie Nicks, of whom she is a big fan. She was immediately on board. Kenny and Dee rounded up Mark Williamson (drums) and Mat Carfi (guitar) to start the process. Recently three more players were added to the lineup and the puzzle was complet” - Tony Centonez

Gypsy A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac has captured the sound and style of one of rocks most popular acts. At over 100 million albums sold worldwide, Fleetwood Mac has a loyal following of fans that continue to support their stadium tours 35 years after their breakthrough album Rumours. Gypsy has up to two hours of material featuring songs from Fleetwood Macs highest selling period.
Dee Miller, Stella Loretto, and James Cargill are the trio of vocalists. Together, their harmonies will make you think you are listening to a studio album and during their solos; they capture the electricity of a live Mac show. James Cargill and Kenny Hummer lock in the rhythm section to keep the signature sound of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie who have driven the band for over 40 years. Jack Stone and Nick Spicer team up on guitars to bring the artful simplicity of Lindsey Buckingham to life while John Hancocks keyboard stylings will make you get lost in the music that has been the soundtrack to many of our lives.
