Bio

Hayla Weisz is a Jerusalem raised and born artist. She studied guitar performance at Berklee's Israeli affiliate school of jazz-Rimon; studies psychology and teaches guitar at Jerusalem institutes.
Hayla's live performances became highly acclaimed due to her high-level guitar playing, her honesty and the introspection in her writing.
The unique voice in her music comes not only from her vocal chords, but from a true, rare ability to express in coherent text, her most inner thoughts.
MORE ABOUT HAYLA WEISZ
Hayla has released two singles: "Never Again" in a stone-age version, which is now being re-recorded and will be re-released within the following months, and "That Sucks". In addition, she has reached top places in various songwriting competitions including the "Sweet Relief" song contest to benefit musicians who've been incapacitated (An organization supported by Beck, Ringo Starr and Bjork to name a few.)
So is there an album coming up?

"It's hard to record on an independent budget when you really care about sound and production quality.
I believe I'll keep recording the songs I like, with the musicians and producers I admire as I have done so far. The mix of recordings might not have a unified sound, but it will be made with true musical passion, creativity, and most importantly, it's gonna be a whole lot of fun making it." Says Hayla.

In the meanwhile Hayla promises to keep releasing new songs, and keeping it interesting.

"The god of vintage strikes again. If Weisz was born in the 30s, she would surely be a pin-up icon. With a voice like that, I know I'd hang her picture in my submarine. I can spot the next star of indie radio."
