Now in its 4th year, Irishfest-La Crosse is held in La Crosse, WI which is located 3.5 hours northwest of Milwaukee, WI and 2.5 hours southeast of Minneapolis, MN. The 2008 festival will be held August 8-10, 2008.
The festival books Irish and Celtic artists only. They hire international, regional and local artists alike. The 30 artists who play the festival are spread across 6 stages in order to accommodate the crowd of 5,000. Past performers include Liam Clancy, Danu, David Munnelly, The Prodigals, Seven Nations, Gaelic Storm and many more.
All forms of Irish music are welcome, from Celtic rock to solo traditional acts. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances. Transportation to La Crosse is not provided, but local ground transportation upon arrival is covered. Hotel rooms are provided.
