Bio

Houston-based band, Jerusalem, was assembled underneath the vision to bring God-centered encounter to the “un-churched” music scene, while also challenging the 'churched' to be bold in worshiping their God. Jerusalem is a band that tarries in the vision to purpose a new way of 'doing church'.

Indie rock bred with a classic rock feel, Jerusalem catches something of the sounds of such bands as As Cities Burn, Colour Revolt , and Pink Floyd, while still retaining the sound that is uniquely their own. The first record, entitled 'Seas', was recorded at first street studio in Cleveland, TN and has sold over 700 copies to date. 'Seas' was the primary source of songs played during their supporting role on the Achey Breaky Mistakey Tour (summer 2010) with Oklahoma based bands Die to Yourself and Harp & Lyre.

Jerusalem has appeared at venues such as Warehouse Live in Houston, TX, The Foundry in Joplin, MO, The Conservatory in Oklahoma City, OK, and Cornerstone Festival; sharing the stage with notable bands such as Becoming the Archetype, The Sleeping, My Epic, Harvard, and Pm Today. Jerusalem has also been invited to join the Extreme Tour Summer 2011.

The band has continued to garner an unprecedented following during early 2011, having just finished recording the fan-anticipated release, 'Nomad Sons', a 6 track EP which signifies the band's departure into a continued maturity of the sound that has become the signature of their ministry.

What is most evident to the listener is the atmospheric shift that occurs when Jerusalem takes the stage. The presence of the Holy Spirit that rests upon this band has never respected the particular venue that they're performing at. In this, a 'congregation' understands what it means for a band to operate in the fullness of their anointing.
