Kemet Music Radio Urban Contest

The deadline is coming soon to submit to the Kemet Music Radio Hip Hop Contest. This is a new hip hop songwriting competition that is aimed at independent, hip hop, soul and R&B artist/bands. Songwriters may submit up to 3 songs in this competition and the music will be judged by music industry professionals. The songs will be judged on originality, composition and lyrical content. The winner will receive an interview that will be posted on the Kemet Music Radio (KMR) web site and featured on the flash panel of the home page. Cash honorariums of $500 to the winner, $250 to the runner up and $150 to the second runner up will be awarded./n/nSubmissions have been extended through May 15th! Prizes are as follows:

• The winner will receive a personalized interview by one of the Kemet Radio Hip Hop freelance writers that will be posted on the Kemet Music Radio (KMR) web site and featured on the flash panel of the home page.


• An email blast for the winning song, sent by a recognized promotion company that will go to over 50, 000 registered DJs



• A cash honorarium of $500 to the winner and a cash honorarium of $250 to the runner up and a cash honorarium of $150 to the second runner up



• The music by the finalists will be featured on the Urban playlist of Kemet Music Radio.


• The winner of competition will be announced in press release reaching more than 250,000 PRWeb news subscribers and 30,000+ journalists and bloggers (with winning song attached as a free download). Personalized interview will also be posted in this press release with links to artist/band website. Names of the first and second runner up will be included in press release as well as being announced on the KMR website.
