Songwriter Marc Kuchner works as an astronomer for NASA. Kuchner began his musical career studying classical composition at Juilliard in New York when he was 15. But one night, alone at an observatory on a California mountaintop, he started writing country songs while he was waiting for the sky to clear.
Kuchner spent the next year interning at Mad Dog Studios in Burbank, learning from Dwight Yoakam and producer Pete Anderson and other country greats. Since then he has been a finalist in the Billboard Songwriting Contest, John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Great American Songwriting Contest, the UK Songwriting Competition, Unisong, & the Dallas Songwriters Association contest. His country and pop songs have been acquired by several music libraries, played on over 42 radio stations, and covered by numerous independent artists.
