"Record Journal"

"You can hear samples of her smooth voice and understated guitar at www.meghackett.com - She's been playing out since 1977, and has worked with original and cover bands, as well as on her own. Her resume lists well over a 100 clubs at which she's performed around in the New England and in Florida." - Ralph Hohman

"Main Street"

"Hackett kept the restaurant entertained throughout the evening using both six and twelve string instruments and was adept at using her glass slide to create a down-south Creole feel to many of her songs." - Main Street Publishing

"Fairfield County"

"Hackett is a consumate professional and a natural born entertainer which, in combination, can mean only one thing:if you're in the market for an evening of musical enjoyment, the Next Stop Cafe should be your last stop." - Fairfield Advocate

"Local CDs"

Meg Hackett, If I Can Believe (meghackett.com) . Ten tracks of folk rock that has head some blues in its day, from a seasoned talent that we haven't heard from in a while. Not a "chick singer" with a band, Ms. Hackett can hold her own on the singing end of things and on the guitar playing too (Instrumental in D" is proof of that). The standard love tunes are introspective but not sappy, plus there's a Robert Johnson cover ("Walkin' Blues" with some nice 'n' dirty slide work) and a couple of topical anti-war tunes.
