It's been a good year for Sweden's favorite swing hip-hop kids Movits! After
releasing their critically acclaimed debut album "Äppelknyckarjazz" (containing
the three hit singles "Swing för hyresgästföreningen", "Äppelknyckarjazz"
and "Fel Del Av Gården") they toured all over Sweden and received a Manifest
award for "Best Rhythm". After being praised in music blogs they eventually
caught the attention of Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central's "Colbert Report".
They were invited to perform at the show in the summer of 2009 and appeared
on a Monday night episode. During their stay in New York they were mentioned
several times in the week's following episodes. They also played two sold-out
shows and managed to get their album released in North America. This ultimately
lead them to the top of the hip-hop-charts for digital sales, where Movits! soon
found themselves as #2 on iTunes and #1 on Amazon.com!
