Tabfest, a charity music festival in Mendon, Ohio, is currently looking for artists to perform at Tabfest 2009. This year’s Tabfest runs from July 23-25, 2009. The event is produced by the Harmony for Ohio Foundation, which is comprised entirely of volunteers. Tabfest donates 100% of their profits to Ronald McDonald House Charities and other charities that fit the Harmony for Ohio Foundation mission. Artists should have a strong draw in the festival area. To date, Tabfest has donated over 6,500 pounds of aluminum can tabs and $21,000.00.
The Harmony for Ohio Foundation (HOF) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds through musical performances for the direct support of Ohio-based not-for-profit organizations whose programs provide comfort and care to children and families in need.
Some of the past performers include Dickey Betts and Great Southern, the Charlie Hunter Trio, Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band, Backyard Tire Fire, David Nelson Band, the Fareed Haque Group, Freekbass, The Recipe and dozens of other national, regional and local acts.
