The Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards, now in its 18th year, will take place April 23-26, 2007 in Miami.
The conference is attended by over 1,000 sponsors, press and powerful music industry executives, features showcase performances by over 20 artists, panel discussions on important industry issues, a one-on-one interview with an industry superstar conducted by Leila Cobo, Billboard's Latin music bureau chief and many other fun-filled festivities.
The Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards brings together the music professionals that help to create, produce, promote and distribute the hottest genre on the charts today. It is the gateway that joins the music and entertainment industry with the Latin World.
Attendees include: artists, artist managers, booking agents, club owners, corporate sponsors, distributors, festival producers, manufacturers, new media representatives, production companies, publishing companies, radio & television management, record label presidents, record producers, recording studios, retailers, songwriters, wholesalers and more!
Perform live in front of all conference attendees. There are 6 performance slots available.
Selected artists will be judged by a panel of industry experts, comprised of label heads, radio executives and producers. One act will be chosen as the "We Hear the Future" Billboard Latin artist of 2006, and will receive a featured interview in Billboard!
FINALISTS RECEIVE:
Five (5) minute live performance in front of the industry’s most influential players including: label presidents, industry executives, radio programmers, TV producers and writers
All backline for performance (additional equipment at band’s expense)
Two (2) full conference registrations good for the 4 days of the discussions, networking, parties, the Bash & the Awards Show
Four (4) additional guest tickets to your performance

Performances will be judged by a panel of industry professionals. Winner receives a featured interview in Billboard & coverage on Billboard Latino, the weekly 1 hour show aired on Azteca America
Selected artists must pay a $5,000 showcase fee to participate.
