March Bandness 2006 will be in its third year of competition. Five music industry professionals will judge contestants on a scale of one to 10, with a 50-point maximum total score from the judges. Additionally, paid patrons of the event will receive a voting ballot, which counts as one point towards the band they choose. Dates of the event are tentatively scheduled for every Wednesday in March of 2006. Artists will only be considered if they are based within 90 miles of Atlanta. Age limit is 21+ due to alcohol sponsor.
Genres accepted: Rock, pop and all subgenres of those categories except heavy metal, hard rock, rap and hip-hop.
