Indiegrrl's submission deadline has been extended, as there are still numerous performance slots available.

The 2010 Indiegrrl Women in the Arts Conference and Festival is an annual event taking place August 19 - 22 in Knoxville, TN. Both men and women are invited to attend; however, showcase artists must identify as female and bands/groups must be female fronted. Selected acts will receive a half-price conference pass and discounted room rate at the Holiday Inn World's Fair Park located right at the Knoxville EXPO Center where the conference will take place. A festival format has been included in this year's event giving to give artists more opportunity to be seen by the general public.

Indiegrrl accepts a wide range of music genres, as well as comedy and spoken word performers. All are welcome to sell their merchandise at their corresponding performance venues. Attendees are responsible for their own travel expenses to and from the conference.

Holiday Inn world's Fair park islocated just a short walk or trolley ride from the Market Square and Old City areas and is conveniently within walking distance of the hosting venues and galleries that will showcase artists in the festival portion of this event. As previously mentioned, the hotel is extending an $89 room rate discount for all conference attendees. Indiegrrl highly suggests artists stay at the Holiday Inn World's Fair Park so they can easily attend all the workshops, panel discussions and keynote speaker addresses in the Knoxville EXPO Center that is attached to this facility and where we are having the conference. Networking opportunities with industry professionals and conference attendees should not be missed!

Please note: It is mandatory for all showcase artists to register and attend the conference, receiving a half-price registration fee of $40 per artist, band member, management staff, and/or spouse/partners desiring attendance.
