ReggaeFest is once again taking place at Shaw Millennium Park in downtown Calgary and several indoor/outdoor venues from Thursday, August 19 to Saturday, August 21, 2010. The 2010 festival will feature 10 - 15 performances with a minimum of one being selected from Sonicbids membership. Preference will be given to artistes with a high level of originality, performing original material and displaying complete command of the performance stage.
- Thursday, August 19 - Canadian Reggae Artistes Showcase
- Friday, August 20 - Reggae Downtown featuring Regional Performers
- Saturday, August 21 – ReggaeFest Main Event featuring National and International Performers
Compensation is based on a total "delivered package" cost to a maximum of $5,000 that is inclusive of performance fees, accommodation, per diem and travel. The Calgary Reggae Festival Society will not cover costs associated with getting to the festival such as international air transportation, visa or immigration costs.
Past international performers at ReggaeFest include Beres Hammond, Brinsley Forde, La Comuna, Maxi Priest, Rastrillos, Tinga Stewart, Sugar Minott and Wayne Wonder. Some Canadian artistes that have been showcased in the past include Steele, Sonia Collymore, Souljah Fyah, Tasha T, Korexion, Mikey Dangerous, Michael St. George and Jason Wilson.
