There is a wonderful sense of community at the event as participation from artisans, vendors, community groups, local business and volunteerism hold the foundations of the organization. They stand firmly on the strength of their programming and ability to present the best headliners and musical talent free to those who attend, making the Festival of Friends the most anticipated and well attended festival. At least 6 performance slots are reserved for Submissions through Sonicbids.
This year's festival will take place August 6-8, 2010, with performances from over 40 artists across 3 stages. Compensation is available for artists performances, and negotiable at time of booking.
Highlights from 2009's fantastic line-up include Kim Mitchell, David Wilcox, Finger 11, Steven Page from the Barenaked Ladies, The Wilkinson's, Crystal Shawanda and The Roadhammers.
