Project Green River is a brand new art, music, and short film festival seeking to raise money to build affordable houses in the community. At least 10 Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to perform, and, as a non-profit, the festival can value a performance as a tax-deductible, in-kind donation. Project Green River is a brand new art, music, and short film festival seeking to raise money to build affordable houses in the community. At least 10 Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to perform, and, as a non-profit, the festival can value a performance as a tax-deductible, in-kind donation. Therefore, performances and travel expenses are deducted from artists' taxes.
Artists from a wide variety of genres are encouraged to submit to Project Green River, which boasts two stages, an indoor venue for Electronic/DJ'd music, an outdoor carnival and a beer tent. There is one large stage directly on Broadway, a classic western-style main street, and one smaller stage semi-enclosed on the street. Thirty-three artists are expected to play the event.
The festival will bring awareness to the extreme housing crisis, and it will also unite artists, musicians, and filmmakers from the region.
