Riverwalk Blues and Music Festival is one of the most nationally recognized Blues Festivals in the United States. Riverwalk Blues and Music Festival is one of the most nationally recognized Blues Festivals in the United States. It began in 1987 with John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, and John Mayall headlining, along with 8 local acts on 2 outdoor stages and one indoor stage. Since then its creator Don Cohen was the force behind the event until Mr Cohen passed away in 2007. The Festival had a two year hiatus until 2010, when some of Cohen's closest friends joined forces to bring back the legacy of the RBMF in loving memory of their friend. 2012 will mark the 23rd edition of the event and promises to be a great weekend of music and arts. They are looking for at least two Sonicbids artists.
Selected artists receive:
- For bands with 3 or more pieces, compensation is $600 for a 90 minute set.
- Offers accommodations and meals for selected bands based outside of South Florida.
- Commission free for merchandise sales (but are suggested to make a donation to the charity linked to the event).

The festival maintains the original theme of the blues, but also incorporates many other styles of American roots music including zyedco, rock, swing, jazz, jam, rhthym and blues, soul and maybe even some Latin-influenced music and bands.
